Privacy policy

Privacy

This policy explains what personal data IonSpire Materials AS processes when you visit the website, use the contact form or the chat, sign up for the newsletter or contact us, why we do so and what rights you have.

Last changed: 25 October 2026.

Data controller

IonSpire Materials AS (org. no. 935 095 093), Gjellebekkstubben 10, 3420 Lierskogen, Norway, is the controller of the personal data processed through this website.

Our contact person for privacy is Christian Sandstø. Please send privacy questions and requests to sales@ionspirematerials.com. You can also call us on +47 926 05 459.

Legal framework

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven). The use of cookies is also governed by section 3-15 of the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven). We deliver to customers in Europe, the Middle East and the USA, and we apply the same rules wherever you live.

Contact form and enquiries

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we process your first name, last name, company, e-mail address, country, your message and, if provided, your phone number. The form also sends the address and title of the page you sent it from. If you have consented to analytics cookies, the enquiry is linked to your visit history on the website.

The data is stored in our customer system (HubSpot CRM). We use it to answer your enquiry and to follow up your company as a potential customer, for example with offers later.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and following up business customers and potential customers (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object to this processing at any time, and we will then stop the follow-up. We only send marketing e-mails, such as newsletters, to people who have consented to them.

The same applies when you contact us directly by e-mail or phone.

Chat

The website has a chat provided by HubSpot. When you chat with us, we store the messages, the time, the page you chatted from and the information you provide yourself, such as your name, e-mail address and company. The conversation is stored in HubSpot CRM so that we can reply and follow up.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions and following up potential customers (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time. The chat uses functional cookies, see the table below.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, we ask for separate consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). We process your e-mail address and the information you provide when signing up. The newsletter is sent through HubSpot, which records whether e-mails are opened and links are clicked so that we can improve our mailings.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every e-mail or by writing to sales@ionspirematerials.com. After you unsubscribe, we keep your e-mail address on a suppression list so that you receive no further mailings.

Cookies

We use HubSpot’s cookie banner. In it you choose which categories you accept: analytics, marketing (advertisement) and functional. Necessary cookies are always set. The others are only set after you have consented (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and section 3-15 of ekomloven). Declining does not affect your ability to use the website.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or by deleting the cookies in your browser.

The providers may change the names and durations of their cookies. HubSpot also uses browser local storage (for example __hmpl and hublytics_events_53) to buffer analytics events, which follows the same consent. Sources: HubSpot, LinkedIn Cookie Table, Google.

Marketing on LinkedIn and Google

If you have consented to marketing, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads conversion tracking.

LinkedIn and Google may link the data to your account with them and use it under their own privacy policies. Without consent, none of these tools is loaded.

Service providers

We use the following providers:

Transfers outside the EEA

As far as possible, data is stored in the EEA. The providers have US parent companies (HubSpot Inc., Cloudflare Inc., LinkedIn Corporation and Google LLC), and data may in some cases be processed there, for example for customer support and security. These companies are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. They also use the EU standard contractual clauses. For HubSpot, this follows from the data processing agreement.

How long we keep data

Contact data from enquiries and chats is deleted from HubSpot after 3 years without activity, unless the law requires us to keep it longer, for example under the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.

Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, only your e-mail address remains on the suppression list. How long the cookies last is shown in the table above.

The online shop

Samples, orders, customer accounts and data sheets (SDS and TDS) are handled in the online shop, which is a separate service with its own terms and its own privacy policy. This policy only covers this website.

Your rights

You have the right to:

How to exercise your rights

Send an e-mail to sales@ionspirematerials.com. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we disclose any data.

Complaints to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority

If you believe that we process personal data in breach of the rules, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, Postboks 458 Sentrum, 0105 Oslo, Norway. If you live in another EEA country, you can also complain to the supervisory authority there. We would appreciate it if you contact us first so that we can put things right.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the customer system is limited to those who need it for their work. We do not use the data for automated decisions or profiling with legal effects.

Changes

We update this policy when we change how we process personal data. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
